Energy Efficiency
As a member of Energy Star® Homes, we can build about 25% more efficiently than a home built through the Uniform Dwelling Code requirements. The specifications are harder to achieve, but the rewards are greater for the customer in saving energy. We test both our new construction homes and the existing homes that we remodel. We take pride in building and remodeling projects that become certified Wisconsin ENERGY STAR® Homes. As a result, the homeowners get the peace of mind knowing their homes are draft free and protected from rising energy costs.

Insulated Concrete Forms
Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls are for the basement and exterior walls erected to the rafters. They are energy efficient, comfortable, quieter, and they stand up to time and the elements. They are even known to be a useful tornado shelter. ICF building can generate as little as 1% construction waste, greatly reducing land fill methane emissions. Its combination of insulation and cement minimizes temperature fluctuations by absorbing and storing heat. This equates to an average of approximately 30-50% reduction in energy consumption for heating and cooling, which results in an equivalent reduction in harmful emissions.
